Seddik Bacha was born in Ighram, Algeria. He received the Engineering and Magister degrees from the National Polytechnic School of Algiers, in 1982 and 1990 and received the PhD and HDR degrees in 1993 and 1998, respectively from the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble-France He served as Assistant Professor during six years in Algeria at the National Polytechnic School of Algiers and University A Mira of Beja?a-Bgayet. In 1993 he has been appointed Assistant Professor at Grenoble University and got Full Professor position in 1998. He is currently Program Scientific Director and Scientific Council Chairman at the SuperGrid Institute of Energy Transition (France). In parallel he is involved on the UE – Algeria joint program from renewables and energy efficiency from 2019 to 2023 as the Renewable Energy part responsible and deputy chief of the experts group. His research is carried out within the Laboratory of Electrical Engineering of Grenoble (G2Elab) and his interests relate to the modeling and control of electrical energy processes: Renewable energy systems, Smart buildings, V2G, microgrids and HVDC supergrids.

报告题目:Short Course on I&C Systems for energy applications
The course aims to provide students with knowledge and skills in the field of Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems of industrial and research plants, with a particular focus on energy systems. The course introduces the fundamental concepts of I&C systems in an industrial context, and it presents traditional and innovative technological solutions available on the market. The course covers both analogue and digital I&C systems, discussing the advantages and disadvantages of different solutions. In particular, the course focuses on the transition from linear control to nonlinear control, outlining the main characteristics of nonlinear control systems. Some application examples and use cases are presented in the field of energy systems.
Mauro CAPPELLI is a Researcher at ENEA (the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development), Frascati (Rome) Research Center, Adjunct Professor of Instrumentation for Control of Energy Systems at the University of L’Aquila, Adjunct Professor of Monitoring and Control of Energy Systems at the Sapienza University of Rome and Affiliate at the DEWS Center of Excellence, University of L’Aquila. He has been proposed by the Italian Ministry of University and Scientific Research for the period 2023-2028 as Member States member of the EURATOM Scientific and Technical Committee (STC). From 2020 to 2021 he has been appointed by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research as the Italian Representative for the EURATOM-Fusion configuration in the Shadows Thematic Configurations operating as sub-groups of the Shadow Strategic Program Committee of the European Research Program Horizon Europe (2021 -2027). Since 2018 he is Associate Editor of the ASME Journal of Nuclear Engineering and Radiation Science. He got a Laurea (B.Sc. + M.Sc.) degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Perugia, a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Sapienza University of Rome, a Master in Nuclear Safety at the University of Pisa, a Master in Fusion Energy at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, two post-laurea specialization degrees in Technological Teaching at the University of Romatre, and a post-laurea certificate in Total Cost Management from the Bocconi University.

Fausto Pedro García Márquez works at UCLM as Full Professor (Accredited as Full Professor from 2013), Spain, Honorary Senior Research Fellow at Birmingham University, UK, Lecturer at the Postgraduate European Institute, Research Fellow at INTI International University&Colleges, Malaysia, and he has been Senior Manager in Accenture (2013-2014). He obtained his European PhD with maximum distinction. 基于电压源型换流器（VSC）的柔性直流技术日趋成熟，并且随着对大容量和高供电靠性的要求不断提高，未来将会有更多双极结构的直流输配电系统。然而，基于模块化多电平换流器（MMC）和VSC的双极系统存在一些特殊的故障特性。其中一类故障是换流器阀侧单相接地故障，这类阀侧故障可能导致电网侧故障电流不过零和上桥臂子模块电容过电压等。本报告的内容将基于东芝国际（新北海道-本州）与苏格兰电力公司（ANGLE-DC）的两个实际工程来讨论换流器阀侧单相接地故障在半桥型MMC和级联式三电平Cascaded three-level NPC换流站的故障特性和具体保护措施。
